Robert Lewandowski, a Polish professional footballer, is the team’s captain. Born in Warsaw, Poland, and began his football career at MKS Varsovia Warsaw. He later played for Lech Poznan, and then he moved to Borussia Dortmund.

He has been playing football for Germany’s Bayern Munich club since 2014. At the age of 20, he made his international debut with the senior Polish national team. In a match against San Marino, he was a substitute. His goal helped his team win and qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2010.

His career has seen him receive many awards and honors. He was named the Polish Footballer of Year seven times in succession. In 2015, he was named Polish Sports Personality and Year. His excellent form continued, and he scored 100 goals in his 137th appearance for Bayern. He ended the 2016-17 season with 42 goals from 47 matches.
